Bob Ransom, owner of R R Dorpers, grew up on a wheat and cattle farm in Northern Oklahoma and graduated from Oklahoma State with a BS in Animal Science. Before retiring, Bob was a Vocational Agriculture Instructor (Ag Teacher) in the Wichita Falls Schools System for 16 years. Bob now travel from Wichita Falls to Wyoming, South Dakota, Iowa, and Ohio with numerous stops in every state surgically dehorning cattle and this is what he is known most for now.

Bob and his wife, Sherry, have lived at their current location in Wichita Falls for 13 years and they have been raising Dorpers for 4 years. Since starting, they have expanded their herd of sheep greatly. Included within their herd, they presently have 15 quality mature ewes and plan to increase that number to 30 in the next year as they find more quality ewes to purchase. These prime ewes will be used in a breeding program so Bob and Sherry are able to provide 50 Fullblood lambs or more for sale on an annual basis. They also keep a supply of fat lambs for eating as well as Halfblood lambs and ewes for sale at all times.
